When one of our first clients, RJ Reynolds in North America invited us to pitch along with 15 other global agencies for the
repositioning of the Camel Brand, there was no question about clocking up those extra miles. The next day we grabbed some bottles of Australian wine, jumped on a plane and headed for the States. Twenty four hours later, we were in North Carolina, at the RJ Reynolds building, ready for a one hour meeting with the Camel team. A couple of Aussies, turning up with just a laptop and some bottles of red created a bit of a story within the marketing department and we acquired a reputation for the agency that does things a little bit differently. Three years later, we had set up two new offices, with a select team to reshape the 9 billion dollar Camel brand and had become one of their primary agencies on the roster.
